Donate to TAU's Post-Trauma Clinic
The National Center for Traumatic Stress and Resilience at Tel Aviv University under Professor Yair Bar-Haim is working in close collaboration with the IDF and the Israeli government to open a Post-Trauma Clinic by January 2024. The Center plans to treat an estimated 30,000 new cases of PTSD and related disorders associated with the War with Hamas.
A new building for the Center is now under construction at TAU and scheduled to open in 2026, but the Post-Trauma Clinic is needed immediately. The Israeli government and IDF are relying on Professor Bar-Haim's proprietary care methods and expertise to treat the most fragile and critical cases, from hostages and soldiers to civilians.
$1.74 million is needed to provide treatment for 1,000 patients in the Post-Trauma Clinic's first year and build capacity to treat at least 2,000 patients in its second. Funding will support:
- Personnel costs for professional staff
- Renovations, equipment, and furniture
- The average cost per patient of $1,800.00
